The biosphere

 Intro

Have you heard about the earth's spheres? There is the biosphere, atmosphere, geosphere, and hydrosphere. Today I will tell you about the biosphere.

P1

The biosphere contains all living things. Such as animals, insects, and even humans! from the smallest of creatures to the largest of jungles and forests, they all belong to the biosphere. The biosphere is important to earth's survival. For example, we need fresh air, which trees provide, and we need to breathe the fresh air to live.

P2

have you ever thought what would happen if the biosphere never got water? I'll tell you.  If the biosphere lost all sources of water the plants and trees would die. Which means trees cant purify the air. And that means all the plants will die from breathing in the polluted air. all life would die. Including humans.

P3

If the biosphere were to disappear then there would be no trees around to freshen the air, all living things will not be alive. Soon the earth will be an uninhabited planet like Venus or mars.

Conclusion

Overall the biosphere is essential to earth's survival. Without it earth will fall.

Glossary

Biosphere- one of the earth's spheres that contains all living things.

essential- extremely important

uninhabited- a place that has no life in it

Creatures- something that lives

volcano

 The volcano

Crash! Lightning strikes in the darkness of the night. The fiery soul of the volcano bursts out with a tremendous force. Lava was oozing down the deathly beast. The thick, black smoke has taken revenge on humanity by annihilating everything in its wretched path. now on the rim of the volcano instantly melts into blazing, hot water.

Flames are dancing in the horrendous night of despair. The thunder looks like a hand, trying to grab anything in sight and light it on fire. The lava is overflowing and leaving a path of nothing but ashes behind. Ashes of trees, plants, and flowers. The smoke was poisoning all the animals, flowers, and plants in the area. The stars surrendered and became dim. The place was pitch black. Nothing but lava to light the way to destruction. I was petrified. The lava was slowly coming towards me. “AAAH” I screamed as lava rushed down. I run to my car and start the engine when…

huh, what? What is going on? Why isn’t the car working? I see that I had the wrong keys! I quickly rummaged around and found my keys. I drove away just in time before the lava came down and onto the roads. But suddenly my tires get punctured. The lava is catching up. I squirm around and try to get out of the car. The lava starts burning my car. Lava surrounds me and I get burnt. Could this be the end? I think. I am surprisingly not dead. In fact, I am the same. Is this heaven I start hearing a weird sound? It sounds like I'm waking up. You're going to get late for school. I am terribly confused. I realize that this is all a dream. So I’m actually alive. I wake myself up to find myself in bed. Safe from the lava and lighting. Just then, I hear a massive BOOM. “could that really be?” I ponder...resource image

Neelansh&Jonathans tour

 Neelansh&Jonathans tour

Have you ever gone to Newzealand? If you have, you must know it's a mesmerising place.  Giant gumboots, lakes and much more. I will show you the famous landmarks today.

DID you know Rotorua is known for its famous spas and geysers and the bad smell! Rotorua also has aquatic volcanoes in its lake

and Taihape is famous for its big gumboot! Taihape is in the north and smack in the middle. Taihape, home of the great gumboot. Taihape and it also has a gumboot throwing competition. Isn’t that just weird?

Have you ever heard of lake Taupo? It’s a monstrous lake. By the way, Taupo is located in the middle of the north island. It also is called the belly of the fish. You see… Maui put his foot down and pulled up the north island and got the massive fish. His brothers and sisters ate the fish and Taupo is smack in the middle of the fish’s belly. Taupo’s full name is Taupo-a-Nui-tia

Kaikoura, NZ's biggest fish magnet. Also a convenient place for gold mining. The story of Kaikoura starts here. So Maui was standing in the north and fished out a massive fish. The massive fish is now the south and Maui put up his foot and that made the north island.

the race

Splash, the kids sprint while cloaking their feet with the sloppy mud. Children run while the parents cheer them on and on till the end. Young athletes Zipp across the track as if they have super speed. The race is tight, each child trying their best and giving it all they got. When… the weather changes and now is blowing wind around making it even harder to gain victory. Parents encourage their children by staying in one spot kile they were glued to the ground even though the wind was too much for the spectators. Children race and race like they are a train, thrashing through the terrible, squishy mud. The trees in the background sway side to side calmly. Running swiftly, the children overtake each other. A kid outside the track is racing beside them, desperately trying to gain on them. The wind grows fierce. Now it was tearing the trees away. But that doesn't stop the children. The parents gasp, like a shooting star, the kids go on, determined to reach the end. The park is now like a warzone! Kids are going on and on without wasting a second. Hip hip hurray! The kids don't stop till the end. Running fast is all the options that are left for the young runners, they couldn’t bare to lose their spot. (but the kid in last place doesn’t seem to mind)

Title: winning the lotto

Introduction

Woah. This skateboard park is awesome. I could do this all. “Woooah” THUMP ouch. John woke up in a hospital bed. The nurse was beside him. “Well what happened to you then young man,” the nurse asked “I hurt myself at a skateboard park” Jhon grumbled. “ How much more time till I can get out of here,” Jhon asked hesitantly. “Two weeks,” The nurse said. Those to weeks were the dullest weeks of John’s life. After waiting for all that time he was finally able to walk again. He walked out of the hospital and walked by some shops. He saw a dairy shop with a lotto sign ontop and then remembered: hey, I bought a ticket before I got hurt. John reached into his pocket and to his surprise, he noticed that the ticket was gone...“Oh no! Not again” Jhon said in a disastrous voice.” I lost my lotto ticket AGAIN”. “Well, that’s a week’s worth of chores wasted”. Well, my ticket was probably useless anyway. It’s not like no.17(my ticket) is the winner for the grand prize. Jhon thought. Jhon called a cab and went back home. His mother was in the kitchen making some dinner, and his father was watching tv. Jhon walked down to his father and saw what he was watching. Lotto NZ. They were calling out the numbers. They called out all of the prizes that were less than the grand prize already. Now they were going to say the GRAND PRIZE WINNER.” and the winning number is…. NO.17!!!” Joh couldn’t believe what he was hearing. NO.17 was the grand prize winner! John went off to search for his missing ticket. He looked everywhere but he couldn’t find it. He stumbled up to his bedroom and sat down. He opened one of his comics when… HIS TICKET FELL OUT. He was so happy he rushed down the stairs and showed his family the ticket. John was stunned. He had won THE GRAND PRIZE!!!

How do banks work?

How do banks work

Banks, What are banks? Banks are big places to keep your money safe. For thousands of years, banks have been around providing a place for people to keep their money safe. Banks are much more safe and better than your run-of-the-mill piggy banks. Banks also bring big amounts of money to you.

P1

What happens to your money when you set up an account? Once you have set up an account your money is stored in a vault, a place to keep your money safe. Your money is connected to your credit card or your debit card. You can also use your Electronic Fund Transfer at Point Of Sale. In other words your EFTPOS card. You may use those cards to purchase items or pay off your bills.

P2

How can you make money by setting up a bank account? There are two ways to make money if you have a bank account. One you could gain interest, two the bank lends your money to someone else. For example, you put $100 in your bank account and the bank lends your money to someone else who needs $100 more to have enough money to pay for his college fee. After he uses your money he needs to pay the $100 back. With an extra 70%. The bank keeps 50% and you get your 100 back and the other 20%. That’s how banks and yourself make a profit (money)

P3

Why do banks do all this? Banks do this to help others in need of money and give interest to people who have bank accounts. They lend money, give interest, and make money themselves by taking 50% of the lent money back. This is called the banking system. It's when you make money by gaining interest, the bank makes money by taking the extra 50% from the lent money when it takes it back, and others in need of money for say school fees can count on the bank to lend the money needed.

P4

Why you should get a bank account? You should get a bank account because 1. It is much safer than a piggy bank and your siblings cant pinch your money 2. You could earn insane amounts of interest immediately. 3. Lastly, Banks bring big benefits to you. Big banks do business big-time. So if you could get your money in a bank you already know how good it’s gonna be.

what bartering means

Bartering

The bartering system is when two people do an equal trade for items they both want. Eg.  say someone has a ps4 and someone else has an xbox 1. They both want what the other person has. So they make a deal and trade.

The time I traded all my mom's jewellery for a fat rabbit

“WHERE IS MY JEWELRY” Mom bellowed “Uh-oh,” I said Mom came stomping down the stairs with an unpleasant face. “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY JEWELRY ?” asked mum in a furious tone. “Momma’s gonna be really angry at you,” said my little sister. I was sweating. Finally, I got the courage and told mom. “ I kinda traded it for a cute, fat rabbit,” I said in a nervous and weak voice. The fat bunny came rolling to mom’s feet. “Very cute,” said mom in a sarcastic voice. “Take that massive bowling ball back and get me my JEWELRY” Mum cried in an impatient voice. I stumbled out the front door, with the rabbit and set off to get mom’s jewelry back.

speech

Hi, today I am going to tell you why we should stay off weird websites.

The first thing you should be careful about is that if you don’t be responsible for your device you or could get hacked. Just by clicking on an ad in the corner of a site, could cause you to lose all your info. Your progress in a game or an assessment or something that you worked hard on might disappear. Imagine this. You were doing a task and you finished. you go on a random site that says you get a hundred of dollars by entering your password. You might not notice what happened but the day you were supposed to present your work in front of the class then you realize that your project had been deleted.

The second most important thing is that you might not be able to use your device. It could glitch, go tab to tab at random times, and much more weird things could happen to your device. It could turn off and on and off and on for AGES. Your device could get out of control. THAT’S what’s gonna happen if you go on a weird site. So you should NOT go on weird-looking sites.

Frauds. Popping up constantly literally EVERYWHERE. In the corner of a webpage, on your PHONE and sometimes AT YOUR FRONT DOOR. Here is an example of fraud.  Ooooh look this ad says enter your password and get an instant 100 billion dollars click woosh, and you lose.  yea sure it might sound like a sweet deal but NO ONE EVEN HAS THAT MUCH MONEY  it is all fake loads of people get ads like that and if you don’t stay responsible on your device you might get hacked lose data and worse!!! The safety of your device is in your hands. You could keep it out of a stranger’s reach in the safety of yourselves.

Overall I think that whatever we do on our devices, should be sensible for our own safety. Thank you.

My Recount

The time I got stung by a bee
who,what,where, When, How, Interesting word

Ahh. I was a 7 year old, peacefully relaxing on my sofa when I heard some strange buzzing noises. I ignored the sound and carried on relaxing. After some time the sound became louder, and louder and louder. I wonder what it is and why it was here? I finally bothered to look at the buzzing noise and saw a bee. The bee was ramming its black head against the window repeaditly. It looked all around but it couldn’t get in.

After many tries it finally found a small opening in the window. I had a feeling it would hurt me. In my mind I thought why me? .It came inside and then I froze. I was scraed I would get stung! The closer the bee was to me the more worried I felt. The horrifying bee was slowly approaching me. I felt a shiver down my spine when it sat on my arm.

All of a sudden the bee stung me!!! “ Ouch.” I yelled in pain. My mother came rushing in and looked at the sting. She promptly called my dad and he rushed home to see what happened. He came home and looked for a tweezer as soon as possible. My dad finally got his grip on the sting and yanked it out. “Oww.” I yelled in tremendous pain when he yanked the sting out. The dreadful pain went away and I sighed a sigh of relief.
